Job Overview
As a full-time contractor, the Public Relations Account Manager at NoBorders Communications will play a crucial role in managing a portfolio of clients and promoting them to their target audiences. To achieve this, you will manage editorial calendars, write compelling press releases, interviews and similar content, cultivate strong relationships with key journalists and media outlets across the Europe, Middle East and Africa region but with a focus on continental Europe. You will also be client-facing and responsible, together with one or more of the Partners, for running weekly calls, tracking progress and reporting to the clients. The successful candidate will have a passion for B2B communications and media relations, a self-starter and motivated and be hungry to learn and grow with a dynamic and fast-paced team supporting industrial and agricultural clients.
Main Responsibilities:
- Editorial Calendar and Planning: Develop and manage editorial calendars in alignment with clients’ PR objectives and industry trends. Coordinate content creation and distribution timelines to maximize media coverage opportunities.
- Press Material Writing: Craft engaging and persuasive press releases that effectively communicate clients’ key messages, achievements, and product launches to target audiences as well as interview responses, messages and technical papers.
- Media Relations: Proactively follow-up with journalists and media contacts to pitch stories, secure media placements, and build strong, lasting relationships that foster positive client exposure.
- Client Relations: Be responsible for supporting client reporting and building effective reports to show progress and value for clients.
- Language Proficiency: Demonstrate exceptional proficiency in written English for professional PR writing. Fluency in additional spoken European languages will be considered a strong advantage, particularly for client outreach in different markets.
- Virtual Agency Model: Embrace and contribute to the virtual agency model, which prioritizes flexibility, efficiency, and international collaboration in client engagements.
- Performance and Team Growth: Take ownership of client accounts and actively contribute to team growth. Possess the potential to supervise account teams based on individual performance and team expansion.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Preferably Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Public Relations of 5 or more years, preferably within the B2B sector and with a focus on industrial and agricultural clients.
- Exceptional writing skills, with a strong ability to craft compelling press releases and create engaging content for diverse audiences.
- Established media relationships and experience securing media coverage.
- A self-starter with excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
- Adaptability to work in a virtual team environment and collaborate with international colleagues and clients.
- Creative thinker and problem solver, capable of identifying unique PR opportunities for clients.
